We are working with a high-growth, software-led defence technology company operating at the forefront of artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. The organisation develops advanced AI-enabled platforms, including drone and autonomous technologies, to support national security and defence partners.
Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Commercial Manager to support complex supplier, partner, and customer engagements within a regulated defence environment.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of commercial, legal, and technical teams and plays a key part in ensuring contracts, suppliers, and commercial processes support delivery of cutting-edge AI products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting commercial and legal teams with both customer & supplier contracts, NDAs, and purchase orders
- Managing compliance against contractual, security, and delivery requirements
- Supporting bid and proposal preparation, including pricing and commercial documentation
- Working closely with engineering, finance, and programme teams to manage risk and delivery
- Conducting supplier due diligence, including financial, security, and compliance checks
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting for senior stakeholders
About You
You’ll likely have:
- Experience in a commercial, contracts, or commercial operations role
- Exposure to regulated industries (defence, aerospace, government,
- infrastructure, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with complex contractual documentation
- The ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving, technical environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with UK defence contracting, MoD frameworks, or security-sensitive environments is highly desirable
