The Role
My client is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Senior Commercial Manager – Pricing to join their growing UK team.
This role is responsible for leading the development of commercially robust, competitive pricing for new business bids and contract retentions. You will head the pricing workstream on complex and high-value opportunities, working closely with bid teams, suppliers, and subject matter experts to deliver winning submissions.
You will provide commercial challenge during solution design, identify pricing risks and opportunities, review and negotiate subcontractor costs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing standards and benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of compliant, competitive pricing solutions aligned to RFP and contract requirements across all bid types, including large and complex opportunities
- Deliver pricing for small and medium-sized bids and lead major, complex bids under the guidance of the Head of Commercial Pricing
- Analyse subcontractor pricing, identify gaps, and negotiate optimal commercial outcomes
- Produce pricing analysis, scenario modelling, and commercial insights for senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with bid, procurement, and operational teams to develop compelling value propositions
- Apply a strong understanding of a range of commercial and contractual models
- Maintain and manage internal and external benchmarking data to support pricing decisions
- Ensure pricing activity complies with internal governance, policies, and relevant standards
About You
You will bring a strong commercial mindset and a track record in pricing and bid support, ideally within complex service environments.
Key requirements include:
- Proven experience in commercial pricing and financial modelling
- Strong understanding of different commercial and contractual models
- Advanced Excel skills and high digital capability
- Excellent influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Clear and confident communication at all organisational levels
- Experience within facilities management or a similar service industry (desirable, not essential)
- Knowledge of contract law and procurement systems (desirable)
- Understanding of FM compliance and regulatory requirements
