We’re partnering with a leading software and services organisation supporting critical public sector operations, currently going through an exciting phase of growth and transformation.
They’re looking for a Commercial Operations Lead to play a key role in shaping and scaling their commercial function.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role sitting within the commercial leadership team, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive governance, improve processes, and support complex deal activity.
You’ll lead a team responsible for commercial operations across the business, helping to ensure deals are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and at scale.
What you’ll be doing
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and manage a cross-functional commercial operations team
- Oversee deal review processes, ensuring governance and compliance
- Manage team workload, prioritisation, and performance
Process & Transformation
- Drive improvements across commercial processes and workflows
- Support implementation of CLM systems (including AI-enabled tools)
- Build scalable templates, frameworks, and best practices
Commercial Support & Strategy
- Partner with senior stakeholders on key deals and commercial decisions
- Monitor regulatory and public sector procurement changes
- Support major framework bids and re-tenders
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in commercial operations, governance, or contract management
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Experience improving or transforming business processes
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM)
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness
Nice to have
- Experience with public sector frameworks (e.g. CCS)
- Exposure to AI/data tools in commercial environments
- Experience working across international teams
