Commercial Manager – Defence Contracts
Location: Sussex (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus
Are you an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Officer looking for a new challenge in the defence sector? We are recruiting for a leading organisation that delivers cutting-edge solutions for the naval defence industry.
The Role:
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value defence contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving commercial success. You’ll be responsible for negotiating agreements, contract management, and liaising with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial management of complex naval defence contracts.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage agreements with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to internal teams.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, and project teams.
About You:
- Proven experience in a commercial/contracts management role.
- Strong understanding of defence contracts and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
