Job Details
Our client, a defence/aerospace manufacturer requires interim procurement admin support to help address a backlog across their procurement & supply chain. The team is experiencing supply constraints and significant demand across hundreds of material lines, requiring additional bandwidth to manage transactional and forecasting activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and managing high volumes of purchase orders
- Reviewing forecast demand and line balances
- Monitoring supplier schedules and lead times
- Identifying material gaps and going out to market to source shortages
- Supporting supplier communication and expediting activity
- Providing general procurement and supply chain administrative support
- Supporting a fast-paced, operationally dynamic environment (including occasional urgent / crisis-driven activity)
Ideal Background
- Experience in procurement or supply chain administration
- Comfortable managing high volumes of transactional activity
- Strong Excel / ERP system capability
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environments advantageous
- Able to work predominantly on-site in a fast-moving operational setting
- BPSS clearance required
Additional Information
This is a hands-on, admin-focused role rather than strategic procurement or contract management. The successful candidate will provide critical short-term bandwidth to stabilise purchasing activity and help clear backlog across essential aircraft materials.
