We are seeking an experienced Contract Development Manager to join a dynamic team. You will play a key role in shaping the future of contract management through the development and implementation of best practices. You will lead efforts in three critical areas:
- Contract Policy – Develop cutting-edge policies and procedures for NEC contract management.
- Contract Drafting – Collaborate with strategic sourcing to create NEC contracts tailored to meet our business needs.
- Contract Training – Deliver specialised NEC training to commercial and project managers, empowering teams to manage contracts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive contract policies and procedures for NEC contract management.
- Lead the drafting of NEC contracts in collaboration with sourcing teams, ensuring they align with business goals.
- Provide expert NEC training to both commercial and project managers, enhancing their contract management capabilities.
- Act as the subject matter expert on contract terms, risk management, and clause formation, ensuring compliance and mitigation of risk.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Legal Background: You should have a legal degree or experience as an in-house lawyer with a focus on contract law.
- NEC/FDIC Expertise: Demonstrated experience in NEC or FDIC contract forms, with a deep understanding of standard contract structures and terms.
- Risk Management Focus: A meticulous approach to contract drafting, with attention to detail in clause formation and risk mitigation strategies.
