Senior Commercial Manager

£75,000- £85,000 + package

 

Flexible location, 1- 2 days in London per week.

 

Our client, a well established business in the infrastructure services sector, currently have an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join a well established commercial department, they offer fantastic development and progression opportunities for commercial professionals.

 

The role holder will be responsible for the commercial management of a number of strategic customer accounts, as well as having the opportunity to lead the commercial negotiation of new business with both new and existing clients. Working independently from legal it is essential that the role holder is able to draft T&Cs confidently.

 

The role:

  • Identify the risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
  • Reviewing, drafting, updating and maintaining contract documents
  • Monitoring and reporting performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction
  • Working with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
  • Reporting on progress of change requests and projects
  • Reviewing contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk
  • Preventing and resolving contractual disputes
  • Supporting the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
  • Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.

 

The person:

  • Experience of working in a pre and post contract signature environment would be ideal
  • Sector experience is not essential. IT or telco industry knowledge would be advantageous
  • Experience of negotiating with blue chip or large public-sector clients.
