Job Title:
Senior Commercial Manager / Bristol / £80,000 – £90,000 + Bonus
Hybrid – 2 days per week in office
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading global defence organisation to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager for an exciting and high-profile role. This is a unique opportunity to work on a brand-new contract with a prestigious Middle Eastern customer.
You will take the lead in commercial activities, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge defence solutions while ensuring compliance with export regulations and contractual excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex defence contracts.
- Export Expertise: Ensure adherence to export control regulations and policies for international defence transactions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers, acting as a trusted advisor for commercial matters.
- Customer Focus: Provide strategic commercial leadership in managing relationships with the Middle Eastern customer.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to deliver successful outcomes.
Your Profile
We are seeking a driven and experienced commercial professional with:
- A proven track record in commercial management within the defence or aerospace sectors.
- Export experience, with a strong understanding of international trade and export compliance.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working on high-value, complex contracts, ideally with Middle Eastern or export customers.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence at a senior level.
You will need to showcase strong customer facing commercial contracts experience throughout the process, this is not a sales or procurement role.
