Job Title:

Senior Commercial Officer / Manchester

Hybrid working – 2-3 days a week in the office near Rochdale

We are seeking a skilled and driven professional to join our client in a pivotal role that offers hybrid working options. This will be working in the defence sector with a mix of private and public sector customers. This position provides the perfect balance between working from home and collaborating with colleagues on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of key business contracts, ensuring smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Growth: Support and manage both UK-based and international markets, identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and drive business success.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain and Operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives for continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and best practices throughout the business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in managing contracts and business operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance operational management with long-term business growth.
  • Ideally some experience within the Aerospace, defence or manufacturing environment.
