travel.

Salary: £120,000 – £140,000

Benefits: Highly competitive package including a car allowance, a substantial

Are you an accomplished Commercial leader with a passion for complex deal-making and strategic risk management? We are partnering with a prominent, globally recognized organization operating at the forefront of its industry to find a high-impact Commercial Director. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a significant commercial function and directly influence the bottom-line performance of a multimillion-pound business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Leadership: Leading all contractual agreements, including major framework contracts, with customers and industrial partners.
  • Customer Engagement: Engaging and developing relationships with key customers at 1* and 2* level or equivalent.
  • Team Development: Managing and developing the commercial resource, including direct reports, by setting clear objectives, building team dynamics, and carrying out performance management.
  • Bidding & Innovation: Taking accountability for the commercial aspects of all bids, applying thought leadership to drive greater innovation and improvement for critical captures.
  • Risk & Negotiation: Owning the end-to-end commercial risk management by proactively influencing senior stakeholders and avoiding risk scenarios that could harm the bottom line. This includes management of key contractual escalations and disputes.

  • Essential Experience & Qualifications:
  • Senior Commercial Experience: Extensive business experience in a senior commercial role.
  • Deal-Making: Significant “deal making experience” and experience in closing contracts and formal management of contract claims impacting the size and stability of multi-million-pound businesses.
  • Commercial Expertise: Acceptable qualification and practitioner competence in contract law and its application to commercial agreements.
  • Leadership: Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams and developing strong relationships with leaders and key decision-makers.
  • Financial Acumen: Able to clearly articulate the risk/reward balance of different opportunities.
