Commercial Manager


Up to £70,000 plus car and bonus

Hybrid role working in their Hampshire or London office twice per week.

Do you love doing deals? There aren’t many new business pre-signature roles in Commercial, but this is just that. We are working with one of the biggest Services companies in the sector, they have a continuing requirement for experienced commercial and finance professionals who can give them a competitive edge in bidding and who have the skills to deal with complex problems.

Key highlights:

  • To provide commercial and financial guidance and direction to the business in its pursuit of new business opportunities, providing assurance that bids and new business will deliver profitable and sustainable growth with an acceptable and proportionate risk profile.
  • To ensure financial modelling and commercial best practice is applied to bids and that there is a robust transition to post-contract management in accordance with commercial policy set out in the SMS.
  • Own and manage the risks and opportunities process from capture through to evaluation, mitigation and treatment. Guide the bid team to find harmony between competitive pricing and a proportionate and acceptable risk profile.
  • Demonstrate track record of successful involvement in bidding and winning, in competitive environments, profitable and sustainable business. Specific public sector and/or outsourcing experience desirable.
  • An energetic self-starter who is able to demonstrate they can work without supervision.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Security Clearance may be required at SC level.
